  • Cleaning: Review the cleaning tools that came with your machine along with techniques for removing lint, dust, and debris from the machine.

  • Lubrication: Types of oil and oiling techniques.

  • Troubleshooting: Learning how to address minor issues and when to seek professional assistance.

  • Preventative care: Establishing habits to prevent breakdowns and prolong machine life.

  • Storage: Tips to avoid damage from dust, humidity, and other environmental factors.

About the instructor:
Stacy Owen
’s journey of bringing her designs to life began more than 20 years ago, when she learned to make quilts from her in-laws. She makes both modern and art quilts, as well as sewing bags, purses, and clothing. She services and restores antique, vintage, and modern computerized sewing machines. Stacy is a member of Maine Modern Quilters and Studio Art Quilt Associates.
