Hydroponic Gardening Workshop in Portland, Maine

$125 workshop fee - includes one growing kit

In this 2-hour workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of hydroponic growing and work hands-on to construct a deep-water culture hydroponic grower to take home with you. Hydroponics is a method for growing plants by immersing their roots in a nutrient rich oxygen/water solution. Hydroponic plants grow faster, yield more produce, and require fewer resources to grow compared to traditional soil grown plants. After you have constructed your system, we will guide you through the process of mixing and balancing a nutrient solution.

Families welcome - ages 8-15 must be accompanied by an adult. One growing kit will be provided for each paid ticket.
